One thing to be straight about: this is a 2-sleeper today. The second rooftop tent that takes it to four is coming, but it isn't on the vehicle yet — book it as a couples rig (a toddler fits) and ask us about a ground tent or swags if your group is bigger.

Q.01 How many people does the Wanderer 2.0 sleep right now?
Two today. The large rooftop tent is a queen that comfortably sleeps two adults, and it's big enough to take a toddler in with you if needed. A second rooftop tent is planned that will expand it to four sleepers — but it is NOT fitted yet, so book this as a 2-person (couples + small child) vehicle. Need more beds in the meantime? We can set you up with a ground tent or swags on request.
Q.02 What's the difference between this and the original Wanderer?
The 2.0 is a ground-up rebuild, not a facelift. Versus the original Wanderer: a larger rooftop tent, an integrated 100L water tank with a built-in camp shower (instead of the original's 22L portable shower), and a premium electrical setup tuned to run a pod coffee machine. It's $160/day vs the original's $150. Same off-grid philosophy and off-road policy — more water, bigger tent, newer build.
Q.03 Is the setup quick?
Yes — the rooftop tent deploys in under 2 minutes. It's a queen with an inflatable mattress (pump provided), breathable antimicrobial-treated bedding that washes easily. Set it up once at camp and leave it; you're not packing it down every morning.
Q.04 How long can it stay off-grid?
Weeks, realistically. 300Ah lithium, 200W rooftop solar and a 3000W inverter, charged by both the vehicle alternator while driving and solar while parked. That runs the 85L fridge-freezer (ice cream in the outback, sorted), the pod coffee machine, kettle and toaster without ever booking a powered site.
Q.05 Tell me about the Starlink and connectivity.
Equipped models carry a roof-mounted Starlink delivering up to ~200 Mbps even while moving — built for remote workers and digital nomads who want to upload the sunset timelapse without waiting to get back to town. There's a 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Starlink data is billed separately; ask us to confirm it's fitted on your dates.
