The point of Niesie is independence: nothing on board needs gas, and nothing needs a powered site. Cook a real dinner, run the fridge for a week, and charge every device — parked at a beach most travellers can only visit in daylight.
Four people, off the grid, off the gas.
The electric rooftop tent is the trick that makes four people easy: press a button and the second bed is up, with its own fans and power. Inside, a real queen bed and a roof fan keep two more comfortable. No tent poles, no nightly choreography.
Underneath it all is a 300Ah lithium system that just doesn't run out — induction cooking, a 110L fridge for a week of food, and charging for every device. Park where you like, stay as long as you like, cook a proper meal, and never chase a caravan park again.

This van is so well organised and very well thought out!! We did the Perth to Esperance loop for 12 days and it was perfect. I highly recommend this van for this trip — we were 4 and slept very well. Go for it!

We had the best time! We took it from Perth down to Bremer Bay over a week with my partner's parents. It was spacious, had absolutely everything we could possibly want and was incredibly smooth to drive over the long distances. Handover and communication were fantastic — I recommend it.

Very well set up and presented. Lots of information at handover and happy to be contacted if needed. The van was very comfortable for us — 3 adults. Good to drive and great not to be reliant on powered sites or gas for cooking.

Listed by Johan, a long-time Offgrid partner host.
Offgrid Campers WA is owner-run by Dorian, who builds and hosts the Voyager and the Wanderer 4WDs himself. Niesie is one of Johan's electric Hiace builds — a long-time partner host we list so you can compare the whole Perth campervan fleet in one place and book the van that actually fits your trip.
Johan handles the in-person handover and briefing for this van and is contactable throughout your trip. It's booked and insured through Camplify, so payment, cover and reviews are verified on-platform.

The questions families ask first.
Q.01 How does Niesie sleep four adults?
A spacious queen bed (203cm long) with a premium mattress sleeps two inside, with a 280mm roof fan directly above for warm nights. For the other two, a brand-new electric rooftop tent deploys at the touch of a button — a 100mm-thick double mattress, 360° views, ventilation fans and power outlets. No poles, no wrestling.
Q.02 Is it really 100% electric — no gas?
Yes. Zero gas bottles. A 300Ah lithium bank and 1500W pure-sine inverter run the induction stovetop, electric kettle, microwave and toastie maker. Two fixed roof solar panels plus a DC-DC charger keep the battery topped up while parked and while you drive.
Q.03 How long can it stay off-grid?
The 300Ah system supports roughly 3+ hours of continuous electric cooking, or several days of normal use — lights, the 110L fridge/freezer, and device charging — without ever booking a powered campsite. Sun and driving extend that further.
Q.04 Is there room for surfboards and gear?
Plenty. The layout takes full-sized surfboards under the bed, with organised storage throughout. There's also an interior coffee table/workstation in front of the rear seats for morning coffee, meal planning or catching up on work.
Q.05 What does the daily rate include?
From $140/day with a 4-day minimum. The WA National Parks Pass is on the vehicle, comprehensive insurance and bond run per Camplify standards, and 200 km/day is included (averaged across the hire). Four camping chairs, the pull-out kitchen and a 60L pressurised exterior shower are all on board. No exterior cleaning needed at return.
Q.06 Where do I pick it up, and can I do a one-way?
Pickup and return are near Perth Airport, with flexible times. No one-way hires. Johan does the handover and briefing in person and is contactable throughout your trip.
Fuel cost estimator
Roughly what you'll spend on fuel for a WA trip. Pick the camper, set the distance, drop in today's pump price. It's an estimate — real use depends on load, terrain, aircon, headwinds and how you drive.
Estimate only. Fleet averages: diesel ≈ 12.5 L/100km, petrol ≈ 14 L/100km — edit the L/100km if your route is heavy on gravel, hills or headwinds. Fuel is paid by you and is on top of the hire price and Camplify insurance.
